Molten Aluminum Filter Bothra Metals is used to reduce impurities and inclusions in molten aluminum before casting aluminum ingots and aluminum rods.
The quality of molten aluminum treatment will affect the product quality of aluminum ingots and rods, which in turn affects the product quality of later processed materials.
Therefore, Bothra Metals technical engineering said that the ceramic filter of casting technology is an important part of aluminum processing technology. And AdTech foam ceramic filter is an important application of this technology.

Molten Aluminum Filter Bothra Metals

Ceramic filter for casting
The ceramic foam filter (CFF) box is made of multiple layers of refractory and steel. The refractory material in contact with the melt is made of non-stick aluminum castable. Some filter boxes are also equipped with heating devices, arranged up and down, to play the role of heat preservation of the melt.
During the filtration process, the molten aluminum is blocked by the CFF plate, and the ceramic foam flows along the tortuous channels and pores in the filter plate. The impurities and inclusions in the molten aluminum are firmly kept in the filter plate and separated from the molten aluminum.

Bothra Metals engineers introduce the filtration process of Molten Aluminum Filter Bothra Metals
The upper part of the foam ceramic filter is the unfiltered aluminum melt, and the lower part is the filtered melt. When the melt flows through the filter plate, impurities and inclusions are filtered out.
The service life of a single filter plate depends on the size, number of holes and cleanliness of the metal.
In order to improve the filtering effect, some aluminum foundries consider two-stage filtering.
It has a better filtering effect.
